How We Help Homeowners With Roofing Claim

  1.
  2. 1️⃣. EVALUATE AND RECORD THE DAMAGES TO YOUR PROPERTY

  3. Meridian Restoration’s representatives are knowledgeable about identifying storm-related damages. They will document the damages caused by the storm and explain their potential effects if not addressed.

  4.
  5. 2️⃣. NOTIFY YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY

  6. Before commencing repairs, it is important to inform your insurance company so they can assess the damages and make their determination. Most insurance companies offer dedicated phone lines to streamline this process.

  7.
  8. 3️⃣. COORDINATE WITH ADJUSTERS

  9. Ensure that your Meridian Restoration Representative meets with your insurance adjuster to highlight the damages you have identified and are concerned about. With extensive experience in these meetings, we understand the process and what steps to take afterward.

  10.
  11. 4️⃣. PRE-REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES

  12. After assessing the damage, your insurance company will provide an estimate for repairs. We carefully review this estimate to determine if work can commence or if revisions, known as supplements, are necessary. It is common for the initial estimate provided by the insurance carrier to require supplements, and we are well-versed in handling these situations.

  13.
  14. 5️⃣ INITIATING THE REPAIRS

  15. Before beginning repairs, your Meridian Restoration Representative will discuss the scope of work with you to ensure clarity. Once finalized, your project will be submitted, and you will receive a detailed build letter outlining the specifics of the upcoming project.

  16.
  17. 6️⃣. FOLLOW-UP AFTER COMPLETION

  18. Shortly after the completion of your roof, siding, or window project, your Meridian Restoration Representative will schedule a walk-through with you to address any questions or concerns promptly.

  19.
  20. 7️⃣. BILLING AND PAYMENTS

  21. To offer you peace of mind, Meridian Restoration does not require any down payments to start the work. Our initial payment request will only be made after significant work has commenced. The final invoice will be sent once all repair work is finished. It is common for your mortgage company to be listed as a payee on the first check from your insurance company. More details on the mortgage company process are provided in the next step.

  22.
  23. 8️⃣. MORTGAGE COMPANY PROCEDURE

  24. Insurance company checks may often include your mortgage company as a payee. You will need to contact your mortgage company’s Loss Draft Department to obtain the necessary forms. After filling out your portion of the forms, forward them to your Meridian Restoration Representative, who will complete the contractor-related sections.

  25.
  26. 9️⃣. SUPPLEMENTARY REQUIREMENTS

  27. Throughout the construction process, additional materials and labor may be required. We document these needs and communicate them to your insurance company, resulting in a supplement. Your insurance company will adjust their estimate accordingly. Always remember to provide a copy of the revised estimate to your Meridian Restoration Representative.

  28.
  29. 1️⃣0️⃣. FINAL BILLING AND WARRANTY REGISTRATION

  30. Upon completion of the work and approval of any supplements, we will send you and your insurance company a copy of the final invoice. The Recoverable Depreciation check will be sent directly to you by your insurance company. Once your project has been fully paid, Meridian Restoration will register your GAF System Plus Warranty.
